Welcome to CJ Hardie & Son Ltd. Thank you for visiting our website. I would like to give you a brief introduction to our company. My late father, Cecil James Hardie, started the business in 1960 as a used car and repairs garage. Taking on the Volvo franchise in 1970 and then changing to Hyundai in 1986. I joined him after leaving school in 1972 and the business has been a true family affair since. With my wife Margaret and son Christopher working with me at present we are carrying on the tradition. I achieved Master Technician status with Hyundai and in 1997 won the Hyundai UK skills Olympics, this took me to Korea where I competed against the rest of the world and gained bronze medal. Our workshop foreman, Dave Proger, has also achieved Master Technician, making CJ Hardie & Son one of the only dealerships to have two Master Technicians. As Christopher is also working towards this accolade then soon we will be the only Hyundai dealership with 3 Master Technicians. Our sales team of Denis Croasdale and Dave Williams have a great deal of product knowledge and experience. They will try to make you as welcome and comfortable as possible without the pressure and persistence usually associated with car sales. I hope that this has given you an insight into our company.
